NEW KIDDIES 1km STARTING TIMES FOR 2019!

The 2019 MiWay Wally Hayward Marathon will introduce THREE separate starting times for the KIDDIES 1 km event!

09h00, 10h00 or 11h00 new 1km starting times.

This should allow parents taking part in ANY distance race to be able to book your kiddies in to have lots of fun with adult supervision in the SPUR KIDS ENTERTAINMENT ZONE from 05h00 to 11h30 (for kids from 3 to 10 years old) - while you enjoy your race.

Then after you complete your race, you will be able to join your child (or children) in taking part in whichever of the 3 kiddies InterAfrica 1km events happens to suit your finishing time – either at 09h00, 10h00 or 11h00.

The cost of the safe, totally enclosed, 1km event (within the grass rugby field) is only R 20 per child (with a medal and a goody bag)!

Kids will ONLY be released from the Kiddies Entertainment Area to the adult who booked them in, to take part in the 1km event with that adult – under NO circumstances will kids be released from the entertainment area to take part in the 1km event alone, without adult supervision, for their own safety.

The cost of the kiddies entertainment from 05h00 to 11h30 (for kids from 3 to 10 years old) is only R 50 per child (with 2 SPUR jumping castles, face painting, colouring in, soft toys, SPUR mascots, 2 toilets within the HUGE 1 480 m² entertainment area, a closed off soccer area, safe fencing to ground level all around the play area, with 9 SPUR gazebos and a huge spider tent for shade, sunscreen kindly donated by PINK DRIVE, hot chocolate and other healthy food and drinks, and LOTS of other entertainmment, with experienced KIDS ONLY EVENTS adult supervision).

You can pay for the Kiddies 1 km entries and Kiddies Entertainment, together with your own on-line race entry (you can just log in to add them if you’ve already entered online) – or you can pay your R 20 donation at the WET NOSE 1km entry table at the race venue, at the Centurion Rugby Club, on 29 April and 30 April 2019, from 12h00 to 19h00, (where you will also be able to register your kids for the Kiddies Entertainment), as well as at the WET NOSE stall for the InterAfrica 1km or the R 50 per child at the SPUR KIDDIES ENTERTAINMENT ZONE, both on race day from 05h00 (the first races start at 06h30).

For more information, and photos from previous 1km and Kiddies entertainment, see http://wally.co.za/1km/ and http://wally.co.za/kiddies-entertainment/.
