The organisers of the MiWay Wally Hayward Marathon, in partnership with Spur and Laerskool Wierdapark, realise that the Wally is a family event and that many of our participants are indeed families who participate in various races on the day. Many also have small children, who would love to also take part.

 

We have therefore made a Kids Zone available at a minimal cost. 

 

The children will get something to eat and drink during the day and snacks will be provided as well. They will be looked after by professional teachers from Laerskool Wierdapark, which will also provide toys and games for the kids.

 

R50 per 3 – 10 yr old child – from 05h00 to 13h00.

The kids will enjoy 2 SPUR jumping castles, face painting, coloring in, soft toys, and LOTS of other entertainment, with SPUR and Laerskool Wierdapark gazebos and a huge spider tent for shade.

Sunscreen will be provided.

​

2 toilets within the Kids Zone, as well as safe fencing to ground level all around the play area will be provided.

But wait, there's more! The kids will also take part in a Kids Dash (R20 entry fee). It will be a short distance, per age group, and run in a safe environment and under supervision. Medals to all "runners". 

​

Space is however limited to 200, so make sure you buy your tickets when you enter for the Wally. We will also take registrations during number collection on Monday 29 April 2024 from 15h00 to 19h00 and Tuesday 30 April 2024 from 13h00 to 19h00 (if we have not reached the 200 limit).
