Kids Zone:
The Miway Wally Hayward Marathon is a family-friendly event, and the organizers, in partnership with Spur and Laerskool Wierdapark, have arranged a Kids Zone to ensure that even the youngest participants have a great time.
Cost: R100 per child (ages 3-10) from 05:00 to 13:00.
Activities: The Kids Zone will feature Spur jumping castles, face painting, coloring, soft toys, and lots of other entertainment. There will be gazebos and a huge spider tent for shade.
Supervision: Professional teachers from Laerskool Wierdapark will look after the children, providing toys and games. Snacks and drinks will be available throughout the day.
Facilities: Sunscreen will be provided, and there will be two toilets within the Kids Zone. The area will be safely fenced.
Kids Dash: For an added thrill, kids will be guided through a safe and manageable obstacle course, where they’ll even earn a medal for their participation.
Registration:
Space is limited to 200 children, so it’s recommended to buy your tickets when you enter for the event.
Registrations will also be available during number collection on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 15:00 to 19:00, and Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 13:00 to 19:00, if spots are still available.
This setup ensures that the whole family can enjoy the event, with plenty of fun and safe activities for the kids.
