Substitutions and upgrades/downgrades

 

Substitutions and upgrades/downgrades can be done anytime from when the registrations are open until the online entries closes. 

  • This can be done by yourself.

  • Substitutions and upgrades/downgrades will also be allowed on the two days prior to the event (at race pack collection).

  • NO substitutions will be allowed on race day.

Follow these steps to do a substitution and/or an upgrade/downgrade:

  • Log onto www.active.com and click on sign in. You will be prompted to enter your log in details (which is the same when you registered online).

  • Once logged in, click the drop down box next to your name (where the sign in tab was). 

  • Click on: My Events 

  • You will also find a 'My Events' button on your confirmation email.

  • The 'Change category' button should be used for upgrades and downgrades.

  • The 'Transfer Registration' button should be used to transfer your entry to another person.

Transfers:

There are two parts of transferring a registration to another person. The first is the transfer. The second is accepting the transfer. 

  • Transfer registration

    • Once you have logged in and selected 'Transfer Registration': 

    • Enter the recipient email address in Email address field.

    • Enter the recipient email address in Confirm email address field.

    • Click Submit.

    • Confirmation email sent verifying transfer process initiated to transferring participant and to a new participant.

  • Accept registration

    • The new registrant opens email notification of transfer.

    • Note: Email subject is: Claim your registration for {event name} from {original participant}.

    • Click Claim registration within the message.

    • Log in to ACTIVE.com.

    • Complete registration form.

    • Click Continue.

    • Click Check out.

    • Make the payment via credit card.​​

    • Note: The original registration fee is not refunded until the new participant accepts and completes the transfer process, including the payment.

    • Note: Once the recipient has accepted and completed the transfer, the original registrant will be canceled and refunded. Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days.
